Halloween is for Jokers

This Halloween is coming up in another day and it's lost it's feel. I miss the weather changers, where fall kicks into winter after just beating down summer. The beautiful changes in trees and wildlife.
Sometimes I think of the Perennial forests on the eastern coasts of the United States. It also makes me think of the dark winters in northern Germany and if I give it enough time, maybe I'll even remember what it's like to love again. The days are numbered but Halloween come every year.
